Kevin Hudspith

Print

It is with regret that we report the death of Kevin Hudspith 19th July 2012 after a period of ill health.

Kevin was a founder member of the NELPG along with Peter Proud & Kevin Gould. He was an early secretary & treasurer and the eagerly awaited highlight of those very early NELPG meetings was Kevin announcing 'the fund now stands at......'

He was a painter & decorater by trade. One of his stock sayings was "it's all about the preparation" in his pursuit of perfection. He painted several of the NELPG locos, most recently the Q6 and the end result was always superb. 6619 was another of his masterpieces. He was also an accomplished photographer of steam in the 1960s. He was a unique character and an NELPG legend. Thanks Kevin.

His funeral will be held on Wed 1st August. 62005 will carry a wreath when working the Jacobite that day.
