J72's Wensleydale Test Run

On Tuesday 15th September the J72 was steamed at Leeming Bar to enable a series of tests to be carried out prior to the locomotive being entered into traffic.

Several light engine trips were carried out between Leeming Bar and Scruton.

No problems were encountered and the loco is scheduled to enter traffic on its first passenger outing on Saturday 26th September. Please see the Wensleydale Railway web site for the list of scheduled running days.
