The J72 is now operational on the Wensleydale Railway and it is timetabled to haul trains on most Saturdays and Sundays during October and November. As a result the Wensleydale Railway have kindly agreed for the NELPG, as a party booking, to reserve a section of a train on Sunday 1st November 2015 for the use of Patron and working members.
We are therefore pleased to offer two complimentary seats per eligible Patron or working member for this opportunity to enjoy a return trip from Leeming Bar to Redmire. Prior notification to Bryan Orange is necessary as the number of seats will be limited to 60. There will be a pay buffet at Leeming Bar prior to departure and a trolley service on the train. We will be foregoing the usual steaming fee so donations towards the J72’s coal consumption will be most welcome on the day.
No tickets will be issued, just a confirmation e-mail, or, in the case of those not connected to the internet, a telephone call. Please reply as soon as possible because it will make the planning much easier. The deadline for receipt of seat applications is Tuesday 27th October 2015.
Apologies for the late notification of this event but we wanted to be both confident that the J72 has been operating successfully since its repairs and ensuring all the arrangements are in place with the Wensleydale Railway. Nonetheless we hope you can join us and take up this opportunity have an enjoyable run in the Yorkshire dales.
After our return to Leeming Bar, and as a bonus for the NELPG we plan to make a return journey to Northallerton West subject to final confirmation on the day.
Whilst NELPG will make every effort to ensure that the train runs as advertised, it cannot be held responsible for any cancellation, alteration, delays or mishaps outside its control. Your booking is accepted as cognisance of these conditions.
