K1 moves to Carnforth

Just arrived over the ash pit at Carnforth - Richard Pearson

The K1 completed its move to Carnforth on Monday without incident. It should now be under cover in the former Steamtown shed.

This brings the loco's running for this year to a close. Many thanks to all who worked on or supported the engine through what was a relatively difficult season.

Whilst we completed some jobs when the loco was on the NYMR the bulk of the winter work will begin this weekend. First on the list is everyone's favourite - a boiler washout. This will be undertaken on Sunday.
