Today (Sunday 2nd August) the K1 is seen at Fort William, carrying a wreath in memory of Mavis Lloyd, Martin's wife, who died last Monday. Thanks to Gary Stainburn for arranging the wreath, and WCRC for allowing it to be carried on the Jacobite.
On Thursday 6th August the J27 carried a wreath in memory of Geoff Scurr whilst hauling the Pickering Levisham shuttle. Geoff's family were on board the train. Geoff passed away on Saturday night after a long battle with cancer. He was one of the first volunteers at Thornaby shed involved with the initial restoration and steaming of the Q6 in 1969 and 1970.
