Paul Wickham, the Running Department Manager writes: As 63395 past the shed on Wednesday evening working the 17.00 ex Whitby, and the J27 was on the pit for disposal in the lovely evening sun. I had a thought, when was the last time that both of these locomotives were in traffic together on regular passenger duties as the only rostered steam locomotives on the railway that day…… quiet a number of years ago I would have thought.
