NELPG 50: Railway Art Exhibition

As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations, a railway art exhibition is taking place at Hartlepool Central Library this week, between 8 and 12 August. Curated by John Wigston, it also includes work by Ted Parker and Brian Nunn, and features a number of paintings relating to the Group's locomotives. There is also a small exhibition of items from the NELPG archive, including models of the Group's locomotives in O and OO gauge kindly loaned by Richard Jackson, Martin Lloyd and John Byrne, and the cheques and papers relating to the purchases of the J27 and Q6.

The Library is open from 10am to 6pm each day.

In addition, Dave Whitfield will be giving a railway themed talk to the Library Chat Group at 2pm on Friday 12 August. If anyone wants to attend please contact the Library on 01429 272905 to book a place.
